The obstacles to its creation were as obstinate as the rock formations that dominate the landscape, but ten years ago this year, Pound Ridge Golf Club opened to widespread acclaim. The Pete Dye masterpiece is a modern design for daily fee play that took its rightful place among some of the best classic private golf courses in the area.

Dye literally carved the course from some of the most dramatic property in Westchester, with fairways that wind through numerous streams and thickly wooded hills, intimidating rock formations, dangerous wetlands, and more than 14,000 linear feet of rock walls. Mind-boggling green complexes both challenge and delight while various tee boxes cater to golfers of all skill levels.
