The Mae’s Famous is a 6-oz barbecue-rubbed patty atop 4–5 oz of tender, juicy pulled pork that’s been house-smoked for 14 hours. Add three strips of applewood-smoked bacon, savory Monterey Jack, fried onion strings, tomato, and heaps of mixed greens to stave off meat overload, and plop it all between toasted brioche and you’ve got a burger any barbecue joint would be proud of. The only problem here is fitting it all in your mouth.
