Greenwich’s Equinox Health Club Offers Gym Time Followed By Me Time in the Spa

You don’t even have to be a member. Opt for a fitness class, then relax those tired muscles with a hot-stone massage or Hydra Facial to wash the sweat away.

Go for the whole spa experience at Equinox, starting with a workout in the gym and ending with a deep-tissue massage.

Go for the whole spa experience at Equinox, starting with a workout in the gym and ending with a deep-tissue massage.

You don’t have to be a member of the Equinox health club in Greenwich, Connecticut, to enjoy the spa, which opened in April 2011. There are three treatment rooms and both the men’s and women’s locker rooms have steam showers with a bracing eucalyptus spray. “The best-selling treatment is the Hydra Facial,” says spa manager Danielle Cervi. And since we’re talking Greenwich, you can also opt for a 24-Karat Gold or Caviar Indulgence Facial. The Bodymelt Detox Treatment is popular in the spring. “It is an inch loss treatment which is a great jump-start to getting ready for summer.”
Go For: “You need to come for the whole experience,” Cervi says. “Spa treatments come with access to the gym, so take a class or work out first, then come to the spa, get into a robe and slippers, and relax in the steam shower before your treatment.” Her recommendations: an 80-minute hot-stone or deep-tissue massage ($165) followed by the Hydra Facial Deluxe treatment, which includes microdermabrasion ($225).
