When a spa menu describes its treatments as “bespoke,” your expectations are high. And the utterly charming Brit Amanda Birch doesn’t disappoint with her intensely relaxing and effective facials. In the US for only a year, she brings 20 years of experience in London (where she worked her magic on royals) to this side of the pond offering individualized facials, holistic bodywork, and eyebrow restyling in her charming spa adjoining her home.

Go For: A Bespoke Facial for a new client takes about two hours (90 minutes for returning clients; $180) and is filled with every pampering experience you can imagine: a face, neck, and shoulder massage; reiki healing; and lymphatic drainage, which sounds clinical but is really quite delightful. One happy client reports: “I felt like I had been away for the weekend in just an hour and a half!” But this isn’t just a feel-good massage. Birch cleans up all the dead cells with a gentle Hydra dermabrasion, followed by red-light therapy, extractions, and deep cleansing with sweet-smelling products from The Organic Pharmacy, SkinCeuticals, and her own custom blends. Westchester Magazine readers get 25 percent off their first treatment.
