Thick carpet, plush upholstery, and nest-like clusters of club chairs make lingering in the Ritz-Carlton lobby lounge addictive. Drop your bags, pull up a chair and sink in—no one will even mind if you moan. But it gets better. A flickering, peninsular hearth leaves every lounger fireside, and the Ritz’s dawdler-friendly menu offers chocolate chip cookies and milk. It’s a silly move on the Ritz’s part: they’ll need dynamite to get us out.
