Young Women and the Effects of Cancer Treatment: An Open Discussion

Oct 29, 2013
06:30 PM until 08:00 PM

Open to women age 40 and younger who have been diagnosed with breast, ovarian or gynecological cancer.  Advance registration is required. To learn more or to pre-register call 914-962-6402 or 800-532-4290.

Undergoing cancer treatment at a younger age can present unique challenges:  fertility issues, symptoms related to early menopause, cognitive changes, concerns about self-image and relationships, and the prospect of long-term side effects of treatment. This program offers an opportunity to discuss concerns and exchange information with other women with similar experiences. Marlene Stager, MS, a Peer Counselor at Support Connection, will facilitate the discussion while participants share with one another.
