Antonia Arts Inc. Celebrates L. Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz with Peekskill’s Wiz Fest

A family oriented festival of visual and performing art entirely Oz themed

Peekskill, NY: On August 23rd and 24th, Emerald City will come to the Field Library Plaza on 4 Nelson Avenue. Local vendors and artists will take part in the event which will be geared towards themes related to the story such as “Follow Your Dreams Over the Rainbow” and “Believe in Yourself.” The festivities will be from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. All patrons are welcome to come in costume.

The commemoration is in honor of L. Frank Baum who was enrolled at the Peekskill Military Academy and authored the beloved Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Baum once said “Time is given to us to be happy and for no other reason.” What better way to enjoy your day then with your family and friends?

Vendors and performers from the area are needed to make this event possible such as actors, singers, musicians, visual artists, retail, food & beverage.
