We Are All in This Together celebrates a long tradition of artists as organizers. Using the collection of Interference Archive in tandem with materials produced by the Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative, the exhibition explores artists’ solidarity with social movements.
Artists impact social justice by using their creativity to communicate demands and goals visually, and their labor to produce multiples. We Are All in This Together illustrates the moments when artists have rolled up their sleeves to organize. More than providing political commentary or personal response to topical events, many cultural workers have used their trade and skill-set in solidarity with social, economic, and environmental struggles.
This event is happening in tandem with PRINTWEEK 17. Events include a gallery Q & A, printmaking workshops, talks, and much more.
All events are free and open to the public. Check the calendar on purchase.edu for more details.
