The Guidance Center of Westchester (TGCW), a leading nonprofit agency, today announced the honorees for its 2018 gala, which takes place 6:30-9:30 PM on Monday, May 14 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. The honorees are:
“Everyone at The Guidance Center of Westchester is thrilled that these distinguished individuals have agreed to be honorees at the Gala,” says Mitzi Ambrose-Washington, co-chair of the event. “TGCW has a saying: ‘together, we thrive.’ These honorees embrace that philosophy and understand how important the work of TGCW is to the entire community. They are all committed to helping those challenged by mental illness, substance abuse, poverty, and homelessness.”
TGCW’s Gala provides a mix-and-mingle atmosphere, shunning the traditional “rubber chicken dinner” for a grand cocktail hour featuring a lavish assortment of passed and stationed hors d'oeuvres, a energetic live and silent auction as well as entertainment by DJ The Legendary Chris Washington. Auction and raffle prizes typically feature tickets to Broadway shows, sporting events, and other one-of-a-kind experiences.
Those interested in learning more about the Gala can visit TheGuidanceCenter.org or email Events@TheGuidanceCenter.org.
The Gala is the largest source of unrestricted funds which help support the many programs and services offered by TGCW. Each year, more than 5,000 people turn to the agency for help and support.
TGCW offers essential and lasting support to those challenged by mental illness, substance abuse, poverty, and homelessness. We empower our participants to become active members of their community through education, treatment, housing, and rehabilitative and vocational services.
