Stepinac Theatre's Production of Aaron Sorkin's Riveting "A Few Good Men"

Nov 22, 2019 to Nov 24, 2019
07:00 PM until 10:00 PM

This event occurs daily, every 1 day(s).

The  Stepinac Theatre will present the riveting Broadway drama, "A Few Good Men," by Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning writer  Aaron Sorkin, first produced on Broadway by David Brown in 1989.

Three performances by a cast of talented young actors will be staged at Stepinac High School's Major Bowes Auditorium at 950 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY, at 7 PM on Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23 and a matinee performance at 2 M, Sunday, November 24.

Sorkin’s groundbreaking Broadway debut is about two Marines on trial for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay. The Navy lawyer, a callow young man more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover-up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial.

This will be the second time that Stepinac High School's acclaimed theater arts group will stage "A Few Good Men." The first production was 15 years ago.

"A Few Good Men" was adopted in 1992 into a hit major motion picture, nominated for four Academy Awards.

$20 for adults; $15 for seniors and children under 12
