Anthony Cafritz, the director of the Salem Art Works (SAW), will give a talk Wednesday, Oct. 30 as part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Series being conducted this fall by Purchase College, SUNY’s School of Art+Design. The lecture will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the college’s Visual Arts Building, Room 1016. Cafritz’s Salem Art Works is a non-profit art center and sculpture park located in rural upstate New York that is dedicated to supporting emerging and established artists in the creation of new and progressive work, as well as promoting the understanding and appreciation of contemporary art within the region. Every year SAW offers artist residency programs, workshops for all ages, and hosts the annual music festival SAWFest.
