Found Poetry -
A workshop for children and adults led by Artist, Photographer and Educator Marisa Boan will take place on Saturday, April 26th from 2:00 – 4:00pm
Found poems are created by taking existing texts, refashioning and reordering them, and presenting them as poems. They are the literary equivalent of a collage. Found poetry is often made from newspaper articles, street signs, graffiti, speeches, letters, or even other poems. There is a poem waiting to be found in all of those old newspapers and magazines we have around the house.
Marisa Boan has proudly called New Rochelle her home for over thirty five years. She is an accomplished photographer who focuses on landscapes and gardens and enjoys exhibiting her work locally.
