Founded in 2016, Collective Brass is a Hudson Valley-based brass quintet that performs a broad range of exciting and virtuosic music. Members of the quintet have trained at the most prestigious music schools and conservatories in the country and now hold positions in many of the country’s finest performing ensembles, including the West Point Concert Band. In addition to performing traditional and contemporary brass chamber music, Collective Brass continues to create original arrangements and editions of early music for brass –much of which was recently recorded on the acclaimed album, In Thy Sweet Name.
Music at Asbury was launched in November of 2014. As a program of Asbury-Crestwood United Methodist Church, Music at Asbury is designed to serve as a social service to the community, offering free performances by some of New York City and the Hudson Valley’s finest musical artists. Additional concerts in the season are scheduled for February 3 and April 28.
