WHAT:           On Sunday, April 27, local residents from across Westchester will join together for The Lustgarten Foundation’s 5th Annual Westchester Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk.  Walkers can participate in a 5K walk at Rye Town Park/Oakland Beach along the shores of Long Island Sound. Due to Cablevision’s support of The Lustgarten Foundation, 100 percent of every dollar raised goes directly to pancreatic cancer research. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available. MORE:           There will be a magician, balloon artist, face-painting, jumping castle, and other fun activities for the whole family. Bring a photo of your loved one touched by this disease to post on the photo wall. Markers will be available to sign the wall as well, before and after the walk.

ABOUT:         The Lustgarten Foundation is America’s largest private foundation dedicated to funding pancreatic cancer research. Based in Bethpage, New York, the Foundation supports research to find a cure for pancreatic cancer, facilitates dialogue within the medical and scientific community, and educates the public about the disease through awareness campaigns and fundraising events. The Foundation has provided millions of research dollars and assembled the best scientific minds with the hope that one day, a cure can be found for this deadly disease.
