Attention all educators and parents! Interested in creating or managing an educational garden at home or at school? Interested in teaching your children where exactly their food comes from? Come join experienced farmers for an informative and hands-on workshop, offered in partnership with PN/W BOCES, and learn all you’ll need to know to educate your children on the A-B-C’s of organic gardening! By the end of this workshop you’ll have all the tools necessary to establish a vibrant and healthy garden, and we’ll provide you with the knowledge and means to integrate a variety of academic subjects with outdoor work– while still meeting the demands of the Common Core! Come prepared to work in the garden: closed shoes, pants, and warm clothing is required! Lunch will be provided from Table Market in Bedford (please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions). Minimum enrollment of 8. Registration is required.
