Autumn Chrysanthemums kicks off Hoff-Barthelson Music School's new series of annual concerts where every country and culture will be represented. Our first program will feature traditional Japanese music and instruments in concert with contemporary pieces written for a mix of eastern and western instruments and their corresponding tonalities. Artists include James Nyoraku Schlefer, shakuhachi; Yoko Reikano Kimura, koto, shamisen, and voice; Hikaru Tamaki, cello. This event is open to the public, free of charge.
