Untermyer Gardens was a world famous garden overlooking the Hudson River in Yonkers a century ago, but fell into ruin for many years. Since 2011 it has been undergoing a massive restoration with dramatic and beautiful results. There are 90 minute guided tours every Sunday from April 28 through the end of October so you can learn the fascinating history and learn about the gardens themselves. The tours on April 28, May 12 and May 26 are history focused, the tour on May 5 is the premium President's tour , and May 19 is more garden focused. All the tours are appropriate for all audiences.
