WHAT:           Annual ELEM/Youth in Distress in Israel “Ray of Hope” Benefit

                        Dress: Business Attire; dietary laws observed.


WHO:              Entertainment will be provided by the Israeli group 12th Night Klezmer, and Voices of Virtue,  a Long Island-based group for at-risk youth and young adults. 


Daniel Sapadin, Chief Operating Officer of Owl Creek Asset Management and his wife Rabbi Sara Sapadin and Ayala Kochan, ELEM volunteer and social worker and her husband Sharon Kochan, Executive Vice President, Perrigo Company, will be honored for their commitment to Israeli youth.


                        The Naomi Foundation will receive the “ELEM Lifesaver Award"

WHY:              To benefit ELEM/Youth in Distress, Israel’s leading non-profit organization

dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of abused, neglected and adjudicated Jewish and Arab youth.  ELEM’s network of 250 professionals and 1,700 volunteers extends to 40 cities and villages throughout the country and reaches more than 50,000 youth annually. ELEM provides therapy, mentoring, occupational and educational placement, vocational training and mobile services from ELEM vans that reach the largely hidden “children of the night.”
