What To Do

Caramoor at Katonah Museum of Art

Jun 12, 2013
06:30 PM until 08:30 PM

For the first time, the KMA and the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts are co-producing a trilogy of concerts that brings together three musical genres: roots, jazz, and classical.

June 12 - Spuyten Duyvil  Hailing from the Hudson Valley, Spuyten Duyvil charges the air with their family-friendly jug band energy, soaring vocals, amped-up lap steel guitar, and Chicago-style blues harp.

Future Dates: July 17 - Gregg August Trio Jazz bassist and composer, Gregg August's sensational rhythms span jazz, Latin, classical and avant-garde music scenes. He is joined by soprano saxophonist, Sam Newsome, and drummer, E. J. Strickland.

August 14 - The Winds of New York  Strains of Handel, Beethoven, and Françaix float upward through the Sculpture Garden trees, as this classical quartet of flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon plays selections composed or arranged for wind instruments.
