On Wednesday, October 16th at 8:00pm, Bedford Chamber Concerts launches its 13th season with a performance by European chamber orchestra, Il Giardino d’Amore.
With young and passionate musicians from Poland, Italy and Spain, Il Giardino d’Amore performs music of the Baroque period on original instruments. The performance will be their first-ever in New York and part of their first US.
The program will include works by Bach as well as Italian masters Corelli and Vivaldi.
Il Giardino d’Amore’s performance begins a Bedford Chamber Concerts season that will bring together guest performers including internationally renowned pianist, Vladimir Feltsman in an April 9th solo performance. The New York Times says Feltsman is “…quite simply an amazing pianist!”
Cellist Edward Arron will perform along with renowned musician Anthony Newman and the Bedford Chamber Ensemble on November 9th - The New Yorker says “Edward Arron is not only one of New York's most exciting young cellists but also an inventive impresario.”
Pianist Andy Feldbau will perform with Anthony Newman and the Bedford Chamber Ensemble on May 7th. Vanity Fair Magazine says, "Feldbau’s performance was not just technically impressive but mature and beautifully shaped.
On March 19th cellist Nathan Vickery will perform Bach, Brahms and Debussy along with Anthony Newman.
Bedford Chamber Concerts December 11th Holiday Gala program will be a performance of Bach’s complete Brandenburg Concertos.
Bedford Chamber Concerts performances take place in the beautiful and acoustically superior Fellowship Hall of St. Matthew’s Church, 382 Cantitoe Street in Bedford. Wine is served during intermission and is included in the ticket price. October tickets are $35./$10 Student tickets are available at the door with the presentation of current student identification.
