"Bach for the Holidays" with Anthony Newman and the NY Trumpet Ensemble

The Sanctuary Series celebrates the Holiday Season on Sunday afternoon, December 16, with "Bach for the Holidays" featuring keyboardist Anthony Newman performing selected works on piano and organ with the New York Trumpet Ensemble in the Sanctuary of the South Salem Presbyterian Church at 4 PM followed by an artist reception.

Labeled the "High Priest of Bach," by Wynton Marsalis, internationally acclaimed keyboardist, Anthony Newman, presents an all-Bach holiday concert. Experience America's leading organist, harpsichordist and Bach specialist performing selections from The Well-tempered Clavier and the Italian Concerto on piano, piano four hand with his wife, Sanctuary Series Artistic Director Mary Jane Newman, and selected organ works including the traditional carols, "Joy to the World" and "How Brightly Shines the Morning Star," as well as portions of the Christmas Oratorio and Sinfonia from Cantata 29 accompanied by a trio of acclaimed trumpeters, David Glukh, Max Morel and Sam Jones.
