No other poet since Robert Frost has been able to combine high critical acclaim with such broad appeal. As poet and critic Alice Fulton aptly stated, “Billy Collins puts the ‘fun’ back in ‘profundity.’” Among his many accolades, Billy Collins is: a two-term Poet Laureate of the United States, former New York State Poet Laureate, winner of fellowships from the NEA, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Guggenheim Foundation, and the first winner of Poetry Magazine’s Mark Twain Award for Humor in Poetry.

KPS is also fortunate to claim Billy Collins as our own longtime host and poet adviser. Collins will read from his NY Times best-selling compilation of new and selected poems, "Aimless Love."

“[Billy Collins] is able, with precious few words, to make me cry. Or laugh out loud. He is a remarkable artist. To have such power in such an abbreviated form is deeply inspiring.”

—J.J. Abrams, The New York Times Book Review
