The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) will host a free “A to Z” lecture series in Westchester on Friday, November 9th, from 8:30 am – 11: 30 am at Fordham University, Westchester campus. Westchester residents will be able to learn all about Alzheimer’s disease, from signs and symptoms of the disease to improving communication, care options and available resources to help you and your loved one.
There are more than 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, including 400,000 New Yorkers. The lecture series will help families be prepared if Alzheimer’s disease enters their lives, and they will learn proper steps to care for their loved ones.
Free memory screenings will be available.
New York State licensed social workers who attend the program are eligible to receive two continuing education contact hours free of charge.
