PEEKSKILL, NY: Market Stage Live! At The Peekskill Farmers’ Market is thrilled to announce that the incomparable Alexis Cole will be performing hits from the American songbook from 9AM-11AM at the Peekskill Farmers’ Market on Saturday July 5 as part of our Independence Weekend Celebration.

Called "one of the great voices of today," Alexis Cole has been compared to classic jazz singers such as Sarah Vaughan and Anita O'Day. Cole is the recipient of a Swing Journal Gold Disk award, and has won the NY Jazzmobile and Montreux Jazz Festival vocal competitions. Ms Cole is bringing Luke Franco on guitar, Richie Goods on bass, as well as some other surprise musicians sitting in.

The Market takes place every Saturday on Bank Street (between Park and Main Streets) in the same location as past years. “We are proud of our 22 year history,” said Jason Angell, Executive Director of the Peekskill BID, “and we are excited to offer everyone who comes to downtown Peekskill the best in food and entertainment. We have great shops and restaurants, and now, with the addition of Market Stage Live! every Saturday, this is certainly the most fun farmers’ market in the area.”

In coming weeks:

July 12 at 10AM: Alicia from The Peekskill Coffee House will give a presentation on coffee science and brewing tips.

July 26 at 10AM: The Amazing Magical Margot will entertain shoppers.
