THE VALLEY TABLE REVEALS PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS FOR SPRING 2019 HUDSON VALLEY RESTAURANT WEEK
Restaurants will Offer Prix-Fixe Lunch and Dinner Menus From March 11-March 24
Beacon, NY - February 11, 2019 - Today, The Valley Table magazine unveils the list of restaurants partaking in its spring 2019 Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW). Running from March 11-March 24, customers can feast on dishes from nearly 200 restaurants, via three-course, prix-fixe lunch ($22.95) and dinner ($32.95) menus.
Restaurants from eight Hudson Valley counties are included in HVRW: Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester. “All of us at The Valley Table are so proud to be part of an event that not only promotes farm-to-table dining, but that also encourages tourism in the region” said Publisher of The Valley Table and Founder of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, Janet Crawshaw. “As the restaurant-scene continues to grow in the Hudson Valley we are thrilled to help area farmers, winemakers and purveyors strengthen their foothold and emphasize the benefits of eating local.” The majority of participating chefs and restaurateurs use locally-sourced ingredients in support of area farms, winemakers, distillers, artisanal producers and purveyors.
Of the nearly 200 participating restaurants, many have joined for the first time, while a handful of others have taken part in HVRW since its inception in fall 2006, including Cosimo’s (Dutchess), Terrapin (Dutchess) Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill (Putnam), Sonora (Westchester), Crabtree’s Kittle House (Westchester) and more. In Westchester, new eateries include Hudson Valley Steakhouse, an elegant restaurant that puts a spotlight on steak; The Rare Bit, a just-opened British Gastropub; Maria’s, offering Italian cuisine in a cozy-yet-vibrant setting and Sambal Thai & Malay, which presents a menu of South-East Asian cuisine. Additionally, Maura’s Kitchen, a Latin-bistro offering Peruvian fare (Rockland); Norcina, serving rustica Italian-American fare (Rockland); The Jolly Onion, a recently-reopened American staple in the heart of the Black Dirt region (Orange County) and Melzingah Tap House (Dutchess), a gathering place for craft beer enthusiasts, are new this spring.
