Bonbon Appétit

Almost too pretty to eat—almost—artisan chocolatier Margaret Smith's bonbons at Odyssey Chocolates are silky-smooth, made with natural fruit purées, coffee, rare teas, herbs, and exotic spices ($2 apiece). Smith, a Scarsdale resident who received her culinary training at the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan and studied under master chocolatier, author, and teacher Jean-Pierre Wybauw, uses only single-plantation chocolate to ensure production quality at her Mamaroneck facility. Odyssey Chocolates are sold at Auray Gourmet, Bedford Gourmet, Black Cat Café, La Dentelliere, Ladle of Love, and Mint Premium Foods. Orders also can be placed on the Odyssey Chocolates website.
