Former Nobu chef Tony Zhao heads the kitchen at this 122-seat pan-Asian restaurant across from the Westchester in the spot once occupied by Irish pub Finn McCool’s. Hito has a 10-seat sushi bar with such offerings as the black dragon roll (jake, eel, and avocado) and the Chanukah roll (spicy salmon, avocado, and fresh salmon). Dinner entrées include pan-roasted Chilean sea bass, chicken in a Thai mango sauce, crispy Grand Marnier prawns with honey walnuts, pad Thai, and Malaysian coconut red curry. For parking, pull into the driveway after the Avis sign and try for one of the 20 spots in back. Open for lunch weekdays and dinner every day. Reservations suggested. PAN-ASIAN $$$
 

Lola's Tea House

A tea emporium and café serving classic English afternoon tea plus desserts with a Southern flair. Homemade quiches, curry chicken-salad sandwiches, and vegetable samosas are dishes to try. For dessert, look for traditional Southern favorites such as red velvet cake or hummingbird cake. French, Chinese, and Moroccan afternoon tea service available on weekends. Tea tastings and live music on select weekends. Open for lunch Tues through Sun. Reservations recommended for five or more. ECLECTIC $$
 

Chutney Masala Indian Bistro

A modern Indian bistro has opened in the space that once housed Flirt Sushi. Navjot Arora, formerly of Café Spice Group in Manhattan, heads the kitchen. Popular dinner entrées (most of which cost between $18 and $23) are tandoori shrimp in a pomegranate powder and yogurt marinade, baby eggplant in a sweet and sour sesame-peanut sauce, lamb curry with malt vinegar; and coconut-flavored chicken curry. Chef Arora prefers using wild, not farmed, fish, locally grown produce, and antibiotic- and hormone-free meats. The bi-level bistro seats 100 and is open every day for lunch and dinner. INDIAN $$$
