New Local Restaurant Listings And Reviews, April 2014
Reviews and listings for the newest local eateries we've checked out.
The second location of this American eatery by Skál Restaurant Group features a well-curated craft beer list (more than 50 draughts and 80 bottles), along with small plates—try the smoked short-rib meatballs and kale salad—and entrées like a house-made lamb pastrami Reuben with caramelized onions and smoked Gouda; grass-fed Silver Fern Farms filet mignon with a Gorgonzola crust; and various wood-fired pizzas. The staff is well versed in beer pairings, and cocktails feature spirits barrel-aged in-house. Open daily for lunch and dinner; bar open late night. Reservations highly recommended.

Massa’ Coastal Italian Cuisine
Father-and-son team Pasquale and Francesco Coli run the kitchen at this Italian restaurant, where seafood is front and center. Look for Nova Scotia wild salmon with agrodolce sauce; sushi-grade bigeye tuna with black-pepper crust; and grilled swordfish steak. Grilled whole fish, shellfish, and oysters are available at market price, and non-seafood options include grilled veal chops, New York strip, and Colorado lamb chops. A three-course prix fixe menu includes antipasti, entrée, and dessert. Outdoor sidewalk seating is available. Open Mon to Sat for lunch and dinner. Reservations accepted.
