Sisters-in-law Anny Martinez and Jessica Martinez, both certified cosmetics artists with backgrounds in retail sales, joined forces to launch this fresh and flirty women’s shop—with its own in-house makeup area, natch—specializing in fashion-forward apparel and accessories. “We’re not a ‘safe’ boutique,” Anny says. “We speak to a trendier, young-at-heart woman who is not afraid to take chances with fashion.” Expect current looks with refreshingly reasonable prices, like rock-and-roll ready Black Orchid denim for $99-plus (“They’re stretchy and hug all the right places”); stylish Brokedown T-shirts ($68) and hoodies ($98); elegant silk tops and cocktail dresses by Yumi Kim ($80-$300); floral tops from Lani in Los Angeles ($39); and assorted casual wear by Toi et moi ($20-plus). Have a special occasion coming up? Check out the shop’s own head-turning, custom-designed collection of cocktail and evening wear by in-house designer—and Anny’s mom—Carmen Reyes, whose ready-made Ana Cariete line is carried nationally ($60-$600).
