There are plenty of activities around Westchester for a week filled with fun.



Spring break is almost here! A week off from school means plenty of time for some fun. How can your kids be entertained for a whole week, you ask? Great question! We’ve compiled a whole list of activities to keep kids active and busy during their time off from school.


Family Fun

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester

Great news for all LEGO lovers! A new attraction has been added to the Westchester location. LEGO Ninjago City Adventure just had it's grand opening on Tuesday, April 4. The new 2,300-square-foot interactive play area immerses guests into the world of the popular LEGO Ninjago building sets. Children can put their physical skills to the test on their quest to becoming a Spinjitzu Master, all while experiencing more than 20 interactive features. There is even a special toddler area for the younger LEGO lovers.

Sports Mini Camps

Rockland Boulders Baseball Academy

With spring comes baseball season. From April 10 to April 13, you can hone your baseball skills with the Rockland Boulders team. Prepare for the upcoming season while playing with your favorite players and coaches. The academy runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is for kids between the ages of 7 and 12 years old. Single day registrations are available as well, and there are discounts for multi-sibling and BouldBird’s Flock discounts are available.

Soccer Camp with the NY Red Bulls

Have a soccer star on your hands that wants to develop more skills? Send your child to the On Track Sport Center for skill development with the NY Red Bulls. From April 10 to April 14, kids can focus on developing the soccer skills they need through generous amounts of game-play and guidance. Campers have a couple of time options, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any child between the ages of 7 and 12 can sign-up the camp and will receive a ball and t-shirt included in the cost of the camp.

Kids in Sports

Kids in Sports mini-camp provides a range of activities for children 3 to 8 years old. The camp is half-day and runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and includes sports, arts and craft, story time, cooperative learning games, and more. Nut-free snacks, juice, and water will be provided for campers. The camp runs from April 10 to April 14.

The Rock Club

Do you have a child who likes to climb? Sign him/her up for The Rock Club’s mini camp! Between April 10 and April 14 kids can climb the walls during morning or afternoon sessions. From 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. or 12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m., kids ages 5-15 can climb to their hearts content. Adventures can range from swinging rope ladders to blasting through obstacle course. Just be sure to dress kids in comfortable, loose clothing.

Sportime USA

This is the place to go if your child likes to have lots of fun activities. Sportime USA is like a mini amusement park with a climbing wall, laser tag, bumper cars, the Spider Climb, video games, and more. Both half-day and full day options are available between April 10 and April 14, as well as April 17 and 18 for kids age 5 and up.

House of Sports

House of Sports is offering a mini-camp from April 10 to April 14 for kids in third grade to eighth grade. Basketball, baseball, soccer, or multi-sport camps are offered during this week. Send your kids to hone in on skills for their favorite sports, or have them try something new.

A-Game Sports

The mini camp at A-Game Sports offers three options to any interested campers. There are the multi-sport, baseball, or softball camps. The multi-sport plays baseball, dodgeball, soccer, handball, kickball, wiffleball, and other games. Daily and week-long registration are available. The camp runs from April 10 to April 14 and April 17 to April 21 for kids in Kindergartern through eighth grade. The second week is multi-sport only.

Science Mini Camps

Greenburgh Nature Center

Days of seasonal fun await at Greenburgh Nature Center. Specialists will expose children to a variety of activities each day including animal and nature exploration, nature games, and nature crafts. Enrollment is limited, though, so be sure to pre-register online. The camp runs from April 10 to 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for kids in Kindergarten through third grade. Snack will be provided to each child in attendance. Be sure to dress your child for the weather and messy activities.

Conservation Camp at Westmoreland Sanctuary

Epic adventures await budding young conservationists at Westmoreland Sanctuary. Nature lovers and outdoor kids alike will hike to conduct water testing, amphibian surveys, band and release wild birds, and more during their time at the conservation camp. There are two camp times from April 11 to April 14 depending on the age of your child. For kids 7 to 9 years old, camp lasts from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. For kids age 10 to 15, camp goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spring Fling Mini Camp

Spring is here, so get your kids outdoors to watch all the critters awake from their slumbers. Kids will play games, make crafts, and see everything this spring has to offer young explorers. Teatown Lake Reservation is offering this mini-camp from April 10 to April 14. Kids ages 4 to 5 years old will attend camp from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., but kids ages 6 to 12 years old will go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Full day campers are encouraged to pack a lunch, but the camp provides a snack to all attendees.

Art Mini Camps

Hamilton Camp with Artistree Performing Arts

If you have been dying to seen the Broadway show Hamilton, send your child to Artistree Performing Arts and you can see a kids production. This Hamilton-themed camp will teach your child the songs, dances, and scene of the hit Broadway musical. Classes include acting improv, hip-hop dance, singing, arts and crafts, and more. The week will be capped off with an open house performance for family and friends. Kids in third grade to seventh grade can join the camp from April 10 to April 14. It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spring Break Camp with Artistree Performing Arts

Not into Hamilton as much as everyone else? That’s perfectly fine! Artistree Performing Arts offers two other spring break camps for preschool kids ages 3 to 5 and K through fifth grade. Both camps also run from April 10 to April 14. The preschool camp is from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will introduce children to music and theater including acting games, dance classes, singing, and arts and crafts. There will be a performance for parents and friends at the end of the week to see your child in the spotlight. The older group will go from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will experience acting, singing, audition techniques, hip-hop, costume design, and much more. A special performance will be offered as well for family and friends.

Pelham Art Center

Pelham Art Center is offering a workshop for older kids and a spring break for younger kids. Children ages 11 to 14 can sign-up for Collage It where they will explore collaging using photos drawings, wrappers, mementos, and more. Students will learn many different techniques and finished projects will be one of a kind. This workshop runs from April 10 to April 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The spring break camp, called Travel the World, is for children ages 3 to 6. There are morning and afternoon sessions from April 10 to April 14. This camp provides children with the opportunity to create, share, and learn by being exposed to various forms of art. Artwork created will be inspired by the theme, and activities will include expression through movement, games, acting, and storytelling.
