15 Easter Egg Hunts in Westchester To Delight Your Little Ones

We adults may be planning huge family gatherings this time of year, preparing elaborate dinners, making reservations, and driving plastic rabbits into our lawns with wooden stakes, but Westchester’s kids know the true meaning of Easter: candy.
Grab a seat at the kids’ table and get hyped for these Easter egg hunts that will ensure your little ones have plenty of fun — and sugar — this holiday.
Wednesday, April 10
First up, as a sort of appetizer to Easter’s larger festivities, the Village of Pleasantville will be hosting its annual Flashlight Egg Hunt in Nannahagan Park at 8 p.m. The event is intended for older kids in grades 4 through 6, and will allow them to hunt for eggs in the dark. Just remember to bring your own flashlight!
Saturday, April 13
The town of Eastchester’s official egg hunt will be held on the Town Hall lawn at 2 p.m. Thousands of eggs will be available to children up to grade 4, and a certain beloved bunny might just be making an appearance.
Both the bunny and his hidden treats can be found in Pelham at the Gazebo Lawn of the Richard J. Daronco Town House at 10 a.m. The event will also feature fun activities like arts and crafts and face painting, refreshments, and music by “Zev.”
Back in Pleasantville, the Annual Egg Hunt for younger children (2 to 8 years old) will be held back in Nannahagan Park, also at 10 a.m. and also featuring a certain fluffy friend.
Rye’s official Easter Egg Hunt will commence at 11 a.m. at Rye Recreation Park, sponsored by The Ladies Auxiliary of the Rye Fire Department and the RFD. Line-up starts at 10:30 a.m., so make sure to get there early, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!
Patriot’s Park will host Tarrytown’s Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. Stick around after for the opening day parade for TNT Baseball at 1 p.m.
The Yonkers Downtown Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Van der Donck Park, and is open to kids 10 and under. Three times are sent up: 11 a.m. for children up to age 4, 11:30 a.m. for 5- to- 7-year-olds, and noon for kids 8 to 10.
The Yorktown Lion’s Club will be co-sponsoring this year’s Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Downing Park. Children 12 and under are welcome to attend the search for colored eggs, snap a selfie with the Easter Bunny, and try their hands at a jelly bean guess. Prizes will be awarded to every participant, with a few special prizes hiding in rarer eggs.
Saturday & Sunday, April 13 & 14
In Cortlandt Manor, Monteverde at Oldstone will host an Easter celebration all weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday kids can enjoy an Easter egg hunt, cookie decorating, treats and prizes, and photos with Mr. Bunny from noon until 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 per child, but adults get in free. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase, and if you know Monteverde you know even for a kids’ party its kitchens are churning out some amazing dishes.
Sunday, April 14
In Scarsdale, the Great Green Eggstravaganza will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Greenburgh Nature Canter. The day will include egg-themed activities, crafts, and of course an environmentally friendly egg hunt! Meet some local animals and see the telltale signs of spring at the center. Tickets are $15 at the door ($8 for members), but register early and grab yours for just $10 ($5 for members).
Saturday, April 20
Westchester’s youngest residents, those just 2 to 18 months old, can enjoy a special Egg Hunt for babies by Chloe’s Kids at Lil Chameleon in Tuckahoe. Kids can crawl around and search for egg rattlers in the activity room, or enjoy music, bubbles, parachute play, and more! Tickets are $20 and $15 for additional siblings; pre-registration is required.
At the same time, older kids (aged 1 to 9) can enjoy the town’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Oval Field.
Easter Sunday, April 21
Even when you’re out with your family, the kids can still get in on some egg-citement. City Perch, Equus at Castle Hotel & Spa, and the Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester are all hosting egg hunts at their Easter brunches.
