The real estate market, like just about every other market (financial market, job market, even the supermarket), is going through a downturn. We revisited six homes that were profiled in a few previous blogs to see if any bucked the downtrend and sold. Sorry to say, we’re batting 0 for 6.

The four homes in this blog went on the market the first week of September 2008. Not only have none of them sold, the Colonial in Rye had a serious price adjustment recently (from $2,595,000 to $1,995,000) and the Tudor in Scarsdale was taken off the market and will likely be relisted soon. “We are showing it a lot,” says realtor Michele Flood, referring to the Rye Colonial. “Especially now with the new price under two million. It is a tough market to sell any property these days.”
