Westchester got some new residents this month, in the form of the first Westchester-based branch of Christie’s International Real Estate — Westchester & Hudson Valley. Previously based out of New City in Rockland County, a second Scarsdale office puts the luxury brand smack dab in the middle of one of the country’s most affluent communities, ripe with high-end housing opportunities.

“We are always looking for additional locations that provide the service and convenience homeowners and home buyers deserve,” says Westchester & Hudson Valley branch president and CEO Ilija Pavlovic. “Scarsdale was a natural choice for our second Regional Sales Gallery.”

“We have assembled a fabulous team both in Scarsdale and across the region, and look forwarding to bringing the power of the Christie’s brand to more of the area,” Pavlovic adds.

Regional Vice President Andy Emery, who will manage the new Scarsdale office in addition to the New City location, understands the appeal — and value — of Westchester real estate.

“Westchester County contains an extensive inventory of highly desirable global properties,” he says. “Many of these homes are extremely sought after by those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City, while still being in close proximity to the tri-state’s epicenter of business, culture and commerce.”

The new office will be an ideal location for regional agents to meet with local homebuyers and sellers, and recruitment initiatives to bring in new local real estate agents is already under way.
