A Brief Biography of Me and My Hotter Half

My name is Daniel Isenberg, and I am a 29-year-old White Plains High School/ University of Maryland graduate. This is my engagement blog, chronicling the next year or so of my Westchester wedding preparations. It’s going to be an adventurous ride, hopefully with not too many bumps, so stay tuned for updates, I’ve only been engaged a little over a month and already, and A LOT HAS BEEN HAPPENING.

My fiancé’s name is Dana. We met through mutual friends in White Plains back in 2006. We both grew up there, but she went to private school and is two years younger than me. Still, turns out we know a lot of the same people. We moved in together in September of last year, and now, as of January 25th, 2008, we are engaged.

Dana is simply wonderful. We live in the Quaker Ridge neighborhood of New Rochelle in a cute, cozy, and spacious one-bedroom apartment. She’s beautiful, loving, stylish, fun, smart, sexy, sweet, romantic, and I love her. What does she do for work? She’s a certified New York State elementary school teacher, but currently she’s working as a nanny in Scarsdale (for the cutest little baby girl in Westchester, I might add). I’m really a lucky guy. Did I mention that she’s HOT?!?!?

Me? I’m the Director of Cultural Arts for the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester in Mount Kisco. I totally dig my job. I get to work with kids of all ages, running programs in design, dance, theatre, music production, digital photography and video, and all other sorts of arts related activities. In my other life, I’m a hip-hop rap artist, nicknamed by my childhood friends as Stan Ipcus. I frequently perform at White Plains’s popular nightspot, The Thirsty Turtle, as well as at other hot live music venues (CBGB’s, The Knitting Factory, Joe’s Pub, etc.). Some of you may know me from my slew of gully street albums or for being the opening act for hip hop legends such as Slick Rick, and for my appearance on the Matisyahu platinum, Grammy nominated album Youth (track #8 “WP”). Matisyahu is a close friend of mine; we grew up together in White Plains and periodically perform together at ridiculously big venues like Madison Square Garden in NYC and the Greek Theatre in LA.

So this is MY ENGAGEMENT BLOG, and I will fill it with all the details of what it’s like to prepare for a wedding, from MY perspective. Please bare with me, I’m learning as I go. I look forward to sharing this experience with you. Let’s start right at the beginning, shall we?
