You know the fiasco—that teardrop-shaped bottle wrapped in straw that once symbolized less-than-excellent Chianti served in less-than-excellent red-sauce restaurants. Chianti, the hilly wine region around Florence, is actually the home to stunning viticulture that dates back to the pre-Roman Etruscans.
