Westchester Food Blogger 'Breakfast Ate Tiffany' Can’t Get Enough Gnocchi and Whiskey

Check out some of her favorite dishes in our new series, The Top Ten.

Tiffany Stacy

Introducing The Top 10, where our favorite, food-obsessed Westchester residents share the dishes and drinks they can’t get enough of.

Photo skills, social media savvy, and an obsession with all things pasta, dumplings, and whiskey, has helped born-and-bred Yonkers resident Tiffany Stacy amass more than 20,000 followers as @BreakfastAteTiffany on Instagram.

“My cousin recently told me she remembers the day I downloaded Instagram. I turned to her and said, ‘This is going to make me famous.’ I wouldn’t say it’s gone that far (yet!), but as soon as I saw such a visual platform, it just felt like something I wanted to be a part of in a major way,” says Stacy, who documents her eating escapades in Westchester and NYC.

Also the writer behind the Breakfast Ate Tiffany blog, Stacy is busy. “Between a full-time job, my personal work with social-media management, and collaborations with brands/businesses, prioritizing time to work on my blog has been a challenge,” she says. Still, expect her blog content to make a comeback in the next few months.

In the meantime, here are 10 of Stacy’s top picks for dining and drinking in Westchester.

Latkes Benedict at The Whitlock

17 Katonah Ave, Katonah; 914.232.8030

"Latkes replace the English muffin in Chef Matthew Safarowic’s eggs Benedict, and I’m not sure why everyone doesn’t [do the same]. The entire village of Katonah is waiting with bated breath to see what he’ll come up with next at their all-day café, coming later this fall."

Everything that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labor in freedom 🇺🇸 People flock to America because this is where dreams come true and that’s exactly what happened @thewhitlockny ✨ Owners, chef and power couple Christina and Matt’s passion literally pours through the walls of this place and directly into every employee, dish + cocktail // The love for their craft is ever growing and currently taking them on a new venture— an all day cafe coming soon. If they’re serving anything as delicious and comforting as this latke eggs benedict then I’m already in love! 😍 #breakfastatetiffany . . . #eggsbenedict #latke #lohudfood #katonahny #eggsbenny #poachedeggs #brunchlovers #brekky #yolkporn #hollandaisesauce #hollandaise #westchestermagazine #westchestercounty #brunchgoals #sundaybrunch #eaterny #topfoodnews #ogluttoness #westchesternyeats #thewhitlockny #brunching #breakfastporn #eeeeeeats #infatuationnyc #hudsonvalleyeats #foodprn #westchesterfoodie #westchestereats #westchesterfoodie

Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings at Mister Chen

265 Mamaroneck Ave, Mamaroneck; 914.777.1212

"If you’ve never felt seduced by a soup dumpling, you may be eating the wrong ones. [At Mister Chen,] the foreplay begins with dumpling assembly in plain view and ends with the satisfied warmth of luscious bone broth."

Grilled Melon from Wood Fire Food

"My preconceived notions of cantaloupe’s potential as a dinner plate almost kept me from trying Dan Sabia’s grilled take with chili-melon vinegar gastrique, nigella seeds, and basil. While it may be seasoning out, Sabia can be trusted to turn the fall harvest into your next favorite dish."

Goosefeather Cocktail at Goosefeather

49 E Sunnyside Ln, Tarrytown; 914.829.5454

"With an interior that would be the envy of any queen, the décor proved to be only the tip of the iceberg at Dale Talde’s latest hotspot. From the location to the dim sum and cocktails, like the Goosefeather with rye, dry Curaçao, honey, and lemon, you just can’t go wrong here."

Gnocchi Bolognese at Carlo’s

668 Tuckahoe Rd, Yonkers; 914.793.1458

179 Main St, New Rochelle; 914.336.2458

"I have to admit to being completely and utterly obsessed with this dish. It’s definitely a no-frills joint, but they are churning out some of the most crave-worthy Italian food in the county. Don’t miss out on the chicken parm, either."

If you ask me what I want to eat I’m going to say one of three things: pasta, dumplings or fried chicken - the last two nights the answer has been same: pasta... and this is one of my favorites 🖤 what would you pick? ______________________________________ gnocchi bolognese @carlos_restaurants . . . #gnocchi #bolognese #yonkers #lohudfood #newrochelle #newrochelleeats #westchesterfoodie #foodandwine #fwx #carbsafter #eatingfortheinsta #pastagram #pastagram🍝 #westchestereats #tomatosauce #creamsauce #meatsauce #pastas #pastanight #sundaydinner #sundaydinners #pastasunday #yonkersny #pastalover #potatognocchi #pastadish #newyorkitalian #carbsarelife #italianfoodporn #italianrestaurant

Five Shades of Green Salad at Famous Greek Kitchen

10 N Water St, Greenwich; 203.531.6887

"It’s honestly a miracle that two salads made it onto my list, but this one isn’t quite like you’d think. Composed of only avocado, Granny Smith apples, cucumber, Gorgonzola, and golden raisins, it was love at first bite."

Gnocchi at Maria Restaurant

11 Huguenot St, New Rochelle; 914.636.0006

"Combining familiar flavors from Italian and American homestyle cooking, this bowl of gnocchi with oxtail ragù, porcini, Marsala, and Parmigiano manages to be indulgent and uncomplicated at the same time. Order it and you’ll feel like you ate with the restaurant’s namesake mama, Maria."

Mack & Jack Cocktail at Harper’s

92 Main St, Dobbs Ferry; 914.693.2306

"As summer turns into fall, I find myself longing to sip a classic whiskey cocktail. Enter the Mack & Jack [with Four Roses bourbon, sage-infused maple syrup, orange bitters, and lemon] to satiate my craving. Getting good weather to enjoy it on their backyard patio is just a plus."

Aegean Salad Dressing at Lefteris Gyro

1 N Broadway, Tarrytown; 914.524.9687

190 E Main St, Mount Kisco; 914.242.8965

242 Market St, Yonkers; 914.437.8490

501 Marble Ave, Pleasantville; 914.579.2274

"I’m not sure how they do it, but this is the only place on earth that can really make me crave salad. Everyone knows dressing is key, and they’ve got it down to a science with garlic, lemon, and red wine vinegar. I can’t leave without a jar to bring home and keep me going between visits."

Yesterday while everyone ate burgers I quietly snuck away from my family’s BBQ for a chicken souvlaki platter 🌯 I chased it with greek wine and honestly I’m not even sure my waiter spoke English. I know that’s not the typical July 4th thing to do but whatever though 〰️ I’m pretty sure this is what our countries all about 🗽 _______________________________________ Greek salad & pita @lefterisgyro . . . #pitabread #greekfood #greeksalad #whitewine #lefteris #yonkersny #yonkers #tarrytown #lohudfood #westchestercounty #greekcuisine #july2018 #july4th2018 #eatingwell #foodwinewomen #foodandwine #fwx #fetacheese #pepperoncini #eaterny #hudsonvalley #mamaroneck #thefeedfeed #salads #summerfood #summerdiet #pita #eatingnewyork #newforkcity #eatinglight

"When I go out for Chinese, I’m almost always guaranteed to order poultry, pork or seafood, but with 10 other dishes on the table I kept coming back for more of this."
