If you haven’t been to the new Mount Kisco hotspot Winston (the rooftop lounge is but one draw; wonderful house-made desserts are another), here are two more reasons to go: a Cakebread Cellars Wine Dinner and Casamigos Tequila Tasting.
On Wednesday November 19, Winston’s Executive Chef Michael Williams will create a five-course tasting menu to pair with wines from one of the most respected Napa vineyards, Cakebread Cellars (most known for their Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon). Sample menu items include: poached seafood salad (with Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc); pan-seared foie gras (with Cakebread Pinot Noir); pan-seared halibut (with Cakebread Chardonnay); roasted lamb chops (with Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon); and Winston house-made petit fours and fresh fig ice cream. Guests will also receive a specialty cocktail featuring Hudson Baby Bourbon upon arrival.
6:30-9:30 pm; $250 (not including tax and tip)
On Wednesday November 26 Winston is hosting a free Casamigos Tequila tasting (Casamigos Blanco, Casamigos Reposado, Casamigos Añejo). Additionally General Manager Paul Neagu will create a specialty cocktail featuring Casamigos Tequila. These small-batch, ultra-premium tequilas are made from hand-selected 100 percent Blue Weber agaves grown in Mexico’s Jalisco Highlands for a minimum of 7 years. After harvest, the agave piñas (extracted juices) are roasted for 72 hours before undergoing an extra-slow fermentation process.
