Lobster à la Vodka Pizza at The Rex Pizza & Lobster

247 N Central Ave, Hartsdale; 914.607.3594

If it’s in the name, you’ve got to be pretty serious about lobster. At Rex Pizza & Lobster the eponymous crustacean is delivered fresh from Maine every day for everything from lobster cocktail and warm, buttered lobster rolls to this decadent take on a thin-crust pie with vodka sauce, melty fontina, and herbs.

Italian Ices at Walter’s

937 Palmer Ave, Mamaroneck; 914.500.5029

Hot dogs with spicy mustard, curly fries, potato puffs, and shakes are all Walter’s classics. But don’t you dare overlook the homemade Italian ices — they’ve been on the menu since the ’50s — in flavors like lemon, watermelon, mango, and berry.

Onion Rings at Village Beer Garden

3 Broad St, Port Chester; 914.939.7500

Village Beer Garden has pretty much everything you could want for after-work drinks: oversized pints of German pilsner and domestic craft beers, summery vibes, and these exactly-what-I-want-when-I’m-tipsy beer-battered onion rings, which have the ideal light, crispy texture.

You know those rainy summer days that call for something a little comforting? On those nights, you’ll find us at this new Pleasantville restaurant, sharing this perfectly juicy, Mexican-spiced rotisserie chicken with friends. Did we mention it comes with schmaltzy potatoes that are basted in the drippings?

Fried Oyster Taco at TRUCK

391 Old Post Rd, Bedford; 914.234.8900

I’m not sure why we waited so long to give this farm-sourced Mexican restaurant’s signature taco a try. Tender fried oysters bring serious wow factor to this taco that’s briny, fresh, and totally craveable — especially when paired with a seasonal margarita.
