The versatility of cupcakes makes them a cake decorator's dream. Do you want a pull-apart cupcake tower, the shape of your favorite character, or cupcakes that resemble ice cream cones? The Pastry Corner in Mount Kisco will create anything to your preference, personalizing the design and flavor to each individual client.

Rainbow unicorn cupcakes have been the most popular recently, but the bakery can bring to life pretty much any shape or theme, in flavors like decadent Devil’s food, strawberry, and lavender. An added bonus: The Pastry Corner is a peanut-free facility, perfect for creating handmade cupcakes for schools and fundraisers.

Baked To Perfection

Order: Cupcake of the Month

Every month, this creative White Plains bakery makes a “cupcake of the month,” providing loyal customers with anticipation over the new flavor. For the month of June, Baked to Perfection is whipping up a “Milk and Cookies” cupcake, a chocolate chip cake with fudge filling, topped with buttercream and a chocolate chip cookie.

Also typically available: other popular options, including Cookies and Cream, a chocolate cupcake topped with Oreo buttercream. Or bring out your inner 90s kid with the Dunkaroos cupcake, funfetti cake with a white-chocolate buttercream, topped with Teddy Grahams.

Order: Alcohol-infused cupcakes

This one is for the adults! In Mount Vernon, this mother-daughter-owned business is serving up a party by specializing in cupcakes infused with liquor. Try their Patron margarita cupcake, the spiked piña colada, or the Baileys Irish Creamette.

Don’t worry kids, there are still plenty of delicious flavors for you to try. Some of the most popular include the banana-pudding cupcake, a banana-cinnamon cake filled with banana pudding, frosted with banana buttercream, and topped with a vanilla wafer. Other favorites include the fudgy brownie-sundae cupcake and red velvet with cream cheese frosting.

Red Barn Bakery

Order: Organic and gluten-free cupcakes

Whether you’re organic, gluten-free, or none of the above, you’ll be sure to enjoy the cupcakes from this artisanal Irvington bakery. Try one of their most popular cupcakes, such as the organic and gluten-free red velvet, or the organic, gluten-free, and vegan carrot cake.

Everything (and we mean everything) is 100% organic, locally sourced, and sustainable, meaning you can feel guilt-free about indulging.

Order: Cupcake cake

For anyone who’s looking for an excuse to throw a party, you’re going to want to take a look at this giant cupcake. It’s technically a cake — this giant cupcake can serve up to 15 people — but we’re okay with letting that slide. As with all of this Hastings-on-Hudson bakery’s products, the cupcake cake is gluten- and dairy-free and certified kosher, so everyone can enjoy Cupcake Lover’s Day.

If you’d like a variety of cupcakes (or just don’t need cupcakes for 15), check out some of the other options, including the selection of mini cupcakes that will let your satisfy your sweet tooth in just a couple bites.
