Eat With Your Eyes: Brandi Trattoria

The Naples pizzeria — and inventor of the Margherita pie — puts down roots in Port Chester.

The first stateside location of the famed Naples pizzeria (Brandi Pizzeria in Naples invented the Margherita pizza in 1889), Brandi Trattoria, which opened in March, slings wood-fired pies from its blue-and-white-tiled pizza oven. A full-service restaurant with a stylish interior, Brandi also serves a full menu of Italian dishes including antipasti, salads, and pastas made in house.  

Stopping by soon? Look for a seat on the patio overlooking Abendroth Avenue, and keep an eye out for the opening of Brandi Pizzeria, a take-out pizza joint fronting Main Street, which should open this summer.

The namesake Brandi Crema features a decadent mix of truffle cream, mushrooms, and prosciutto.


Three meats go into Brandi’s meatballs served over creamy mascarpone polenta.


The gargantuan pork chop comes draped in a silky wine sauce with pickled peppers.


Desserts, like this passion fruit tart are made in-house.
