11/29/11Color, Clean, and Volumize
We love multitasking, and Ambiance Cosmetics dry shampoo conceals roots as well as cleans and adds volume to your hair. It comes in five colors: blonde, brunette, black, red, and gray. Simply dab the applicator brush directly to your scalp; the powder absorbs excess oil, leaving hair smelling fresh and adding a bit of lift at the roots for more body and fullness between washings. Paraben- and preservative-free, Ambiance Cosmetics Volumizing Dry Shampoo also contains no alcohol, is non-flammable, and will not damage or dry out hair.... How generous is that? So kudos to Ricky Mason, co-owner of the spa, for the brilliant idea, and heartfelt thanks to Amanda Danko for transforming my hair from bedraggled to beautiful.

11/02/11Happy Feet: Milk and Honey Pedicure with Michelle Piacentino at Oasis Day Spa in Dobbs Ferry, NY
I don’t get out of our offices often enough, but last week my toes were definitely not yoga-worthy and a pedicure was in order. So I put my feet in the capable hands of Michelle Piacentino at Oasis Day Spa in Dobbs Ferry. My trust was not misplaced. In addition to having a rollicking good time chatting with her (she’s been doing nails since she was 14, so she clearly loves her work), I received a meticulous—and luxurious—milk and honey pedicure. Rasps and files were disposable; there were no whirlpool jets in the tub to pass along previous patron’s germs. Added bonus: she convinced me to go... Posted at 03:20 PM | Permalink | Comments: 0 |
