Stay Fresh-Faced on the Go With Guinot Instant Cleansing Water

This take-along Parisian import gently washes away makeup, oil, and all signs of the daily grind.

As someone who sifts through a sea of products on a regular basis, I’m skeptical of vague descriptors and labels that promise intangible results. Radiance booster? Essence of what? So I can see how “cleansing water” sounds like a bit of a gimmick, especially one linguistically-styled by an oh-so-seductive French brand.

But Guinot Instant Cleansing Water is surprisingly un-superfluous.

The clear fluid might not be as essential as the real thing, but for warm-weather traveling (or the average long day), it comes pretty close. Don’t have a sink and foaming cleanser at your disposal? Tuck a small bottle in your desk, carry-on, car, or tote, along with a cotton pad or two. It’s all you need to gently remove melted makeup and/or end-of-day residue, or quickly wash away stickiness or shine any time of day.

The light-and-fresh formula is soap and alcohol-free, so it won’t dry out skin, and while I’m not sure what the “white lily bulb extract” is for, I do like the absence of greasiness imparted by the pre-moistened wipes I used to use on lazy days. Consider me a cleanser convert.
