Big Lashes, Tiny Price

The new Colossal Mascara by Maybelline promises nine times the volume of regular mascara in one coat. Does it deliver? Professional makeup artist Jill K. Imbrogno (JKFlashy.com) is a true believer. “Hold the brush as close to your lash line as possible, look in opposite direction and wiggle the brush, rather than sweeping from lash to tip for huge lush lashes,” she says. Imbrogno also suggests you start with a lash primer (she likes Mac Lash Prep and Prime, $10 at Nordstrom) and don’t let the mascara dry between coats.

Beauty on the Run

Now we have another reason to cross over the border to Frédéric Fekkai Greenwich: Tthis summer, the salon is offering a complimentary travel kit (retail, $40) with the purchase of any salon- service package. Tucked neatly into a waterproof case are all your hair-care must- haves in either glossing or color-treated formulations: shampoo and conditioner, glaze, sheer- hold hairspray, and a wide- tooth comb. Come On, Get Healthy

The Haven Spa & Wellness Center in Briarcliff Manor makes it easy with its Summer Wellness Blast on Saturday, July 18, from 10 am to 4 pm.
