Night and Day

After a decade of research, Vichy Laboratories found that a five percent concentration of Rhamnose, a natural plant extract, was effective in reducing the appearance of the most common facial wrinkles: forehead, crow’s-feet, under-eye, and between the eyebrows. The day cream is enriched with silica for a matte finish and shea butter for extra hydration. The night cream formulation includes a gentle exfoliant that helps boost the skin’s natural regenerative process for smoother, refreshed skin in the morning. Vichy LiftActive day and night creams, $49 for 1.7 oz at CVS, Duane Reade, Walgreens, and online at www.vichyusa.com

Field Trip!

Field Trip!

Come for the treatments, stay for the cupcakes. The renowned Cornelia Spa just opened an Upper East Side location in The Surrey Hotel (20 E 76th St, New York, NY, 646-358-3600; www.corneliaspaatthesurrey.com).  Enter the uber-cool lobby of the Surrey (the only Relais and Chateaux property in Manhattan) with its enormous Chuck Close portrait of Kate Moss, then up to the spa on the second floor. Settle back into a cozy chair in the relaxation library, put up your feet and let the pampering begin: Ice water? Tea? How about a heated herbal neck wrap and hot towel infused with warm ginger and neroli? Don’t say no to the delicious...

Neck Steps

Neck Steps

I’m thinking that maybe Nora Ephron wouldn’t have felt so bad about her neck if she had tried ArticLift, Freeze 24-7’s new firming neck cream. Everyone knows to use serums, moisturizers, sunblock, etc. on their faces, but often neglect the neck and décolleté, where skin is thinner and more fragile—and those telltale lines are as revealing as the rings on a tree. The cream did make my neck lines less noticeable; and the company promises that results improve over time.

$95, available in August at Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and at www.freeze247.com.
