Hot on the heels of announcing its Forbes 400 list ranking the wealthiest Americans in the country (a number of Westchester residents and natives among them), the business and finance titan has debuted the 2019 update of its other major ranking. While the 400 might make you wish you were wealthy, the 30 Under 30 is composed of successful professionals that will simultaneously make you feel old and like an underachiever.

This year, three young Westchesterites landed top marks in their respective fields: Energy, Healthcare, and Hollywood & Entertainment, three quintessentially Westchester industries.

Adam James

This 29 year old out of New Rochelle cut his teeth working at Tesla and SolarCity before becoming the chief of staff at Energy Impact Partners. He also co-founded the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, a non-profit that since 2013 has trained 300 next-gen business leaders in environmentally beneficial energy solutions.

Eric Frieman

Frieman, 27, co-founded Veteran & First Responder Healthcare in 2016 after the Scarsdale resident’s older brother returned from serving in Iraq and found it difficult to secure support systems. The company now provides “intensive” outpatient treatment for both addiction and mental health issues and partners with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Sammi Cannold

Lastly (but only alphabetically by category), this Sundance Institute Fellow is also Westchester’s youngest addition to the list at only 24 years old. Cannold is preparing to direct the premier of Celine Song’s “Endlings” next year, which will make the Bedford native the youngest director in the history of the American Repertory Theater.
