MSG Execs Headline BCW Annual Dinner
Rub shoulders with Westchester’s business elite at The Business Council of Westchester's annual dinner on November 6 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown. This year’s headline speakers are Tad Smith, President and CEO of Madison Square Garden; Allan Houston, former NY Knick star and current Assistant GM for the Knicks; and famed sportscaster Al Trautwig of the MSG Network. Happy Anniversary to Professional Women of Westchester
Professional Women of Westchester will celebrate its four-year anniversary on November 11 at its annual "Give Thanks" party. The event will benefit the MARSOC Foundation (US Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command) and everyone who attends is asked to kindly bring an item from the wish list (see website for details) to benefit our female troops. Learn How to Use Video For Marketing
Video has become an essential marketing tool for today’s businesses—but doing it right is crucial. On November 12, join a panel of experts convened by the Business Council of Westchester for insight on how to produce highly effective video and how to transfer that message across multiple marketing outlets. Attendees will walk away with a fresh perspective on strategic planning for a video marketing campaign, learn the do’s and don’t’s of video production, and understand how to integrate video into your email marketing plan. The event takes place from 8-9:30 am at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains.
Meet the County’s Best CPAs
On November 17, Manhattanville College School of Business hosts “Beyond the Bottom Line,” an inaugural awards program for outstanding CPAs in Westchester and the Hudson Valley. Awards will be given in the following categories: Ahead of the Curve, Most Community Oriented, Top Accountant Under 40, Most Trusted Advisor, and Best Managing Advisor. “Year of Innovation” Kicks Off With Global Entrepreneurship Week
To celebrate the innovators, job creators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who are moving Westchester forward, the Westchester County Association is launching “The “Year of Innovation,” a series of programs designed by the BLUEPRINT for Westchester. The series kicks off this November with events planned for Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), November 17-21, a worldwide celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation that the WCA is bringing to Westchester, for the first time. Events include a Twitter Chat on November 18 (moderated by John Lucker, Deloitte’s Global Advanced Analytics & Modeling Market Leader, the virtual Q&A will give businesses in Westchester and beyond a leg up on how to best use data to inform a company’s next steps and strategic plans); a $10k pitch contest for entrepreneurs on November 18; a Women in Tech Awards luncheon on November 19 (hear from the women pioneering some of the world’s most importance science; and the WCA’s signature Leadership Dinner on November 20.
