Coldwell Banker’s Nelson Salazar Named One of NRT’s Top 1,000 Sales Associates
NRT, the largest residential real estate brokerage company in the United States, has named Nelson Salazar as one of the top 1,000 sales associates for the third quarter of 2016. The licensed Real Estate Sales Associate from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Katonah is ranked in the top half of the quarterly list, which puts him in the top one percent of approximately 47,000 sales associates nationwide.
“I am truly honored to receive this recognition from NRT for the hard work and dedication I have towards each of my clients throughout Westchester County. Jill Singer Named “Community Partner of the Year” by Association of Development Officers

Jill Singer, the founder of Jill Singer Graphics was honored as the “Community Partner of the Year” at the annual Philanthropy Awards Breakfast at Tappan Hill in Tarry town, NY by the Association of Development Officers (ADO). Each year the ADO showcases examples of philanthropy, fundraising, and volunteerism and celebrates their impact on the area. Jill Singer donates her graphic design and marketing services to promote events and encourage membership. In addition she has committed most of her career to supporting Westchester nonprofits.
Kevin M. Peters Named to Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors”
Morgan Stanley announced that Managing Director, Wealth Management and Wealth Advisor in the Firm’s Purchase Wealth Management office, Kevin M. Peters has been named to Barron’s list of America’s Top 1,200 Advisors: 2017 State-by-State. The list consists of a select group of people who are screened on criteria such as their assets under management, revenue produced for the Firm and quality of service provided to clients.

Co-Owners of Murphy Brothers Contracting, Sean and Chris Murphy, were honored among its “Fast-Growth Companies” at the 2017 Future 50 Awards Ceremony by New York SmartCEO. Over 300 companies joined them in a celebration for 60 of New York area’s fastest growing companies.

CoStar, as the largest professional research organization serving the commercial real estate industry, identifies the op firms and brokers throughout the United States. Due to their total leasing transactions closed during the year, Simon and Gordon qualified as top brokers in the Westchester/Connecticut real estate market.

Pace University Student Taslim Tavarez Garcia Named a 2017 Truman Scholar
Taslim Tavarez Garcia, a junior at Pace University’s Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, is one of just 62 students to be selected as 2017 Truman Scholar. Garcia has established a student organization called ABRIR (which means “to open” in Spanish; Advocates Bring Resources to Immigrant & Refugees) that hosts college application workshops to undocumented students. In addition interns at the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, and she volunteers and recruits Pace students to volunteer for the office’s “We Are New York” program.

Murphy Brothers collaborated Steven Winter Associates to construct their building under NYSERDA's New Construction Program to rate better than 52% more energy efficient than required by the NYS building code. The results were successful in averaging yearly operating cost savings of over $30,000.
