Add These Rye Brunches to Your Weekend Plans

It’s the meal you never knew you needed.

Getting up on the weekend is never easy. You’ve been running around all week with a schedule that had you booked down to the second, and now all you want is to catch a few more z's.  Except, breakfast is calling your name (and your stomach agrees). Luckily enough, you can sleep in and skip out on breakfast this weekend to try brunch instead. If you are in Rye, either a resident or just passing through, check out the brunch scene at these five restaurants.

Ruby’s Oyster Bar & Bistro

With oysters in the name, you might be hesitant to try this brunch spot if you’re not a fan of seafood. Don’t let that fool you. Ruby’s Oyster Bar & Bistro has an extensive brunch list filled with dishes even the pickiest eaters will love. Brunch at Ruby’s is served every Sunday with half-priced wine until 3:30 p.m. If that doesn’t get you out of bed, the cuisine will. Choose from appetizers and entrees like pan fried oysters or frittata with lobster. Or, if you’re looking for more traditional breakfast selections for brunch try the egg white omelet or one of the four pancake options.

The Rye Roadhouse

If you like to have a drink or two with brunch, The Rye Roadhouse is the place to go. Try one of the classics, like a Bloody Mary or a mimosa, or something new like the Cooter’s Transfusion or the T-Lee. Pair your delicious drink with one of the many selections from the menu including chicken and waffles, Roadhouse pancakes, High Street omelette, candied pecan coconut French toast, and more. Brunch takes place on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
