Westchester Venues for Holiday Office Parties: The Willett House in Port Chester
The Portfolio: This Westchester mainstay woos diners with its historic rooms, impeccable table settings, polished service, and sumptuous menu overflowing with steakhouse options. An aura of richness permeates the restaurant, from the hundred-year-old red brick walls to the large steel hooks that previously moved bags of grain. Five dining rooms offer a wealth of choices. The smallest, called Hunt Room B, accommodates up to 18 guests. Next door, in Hunt Room A, there’s room for 30. Each was originally built as a private club and offers leather-sofa seating areas and the warm formality that makes your event prestigious yet inviting. There is an adjoining wall between them, which can be taken down and opened up to make one large room that can accommodate up to 40. Other choices include the Club Room, which accommodates up to 70, and the Mural Room (the main dining area), which can seat 110. A large mural depicts life along the Byram River when the building was first built and functioned as the Westchester Grain Company. Last but not least, there’s the Pub Room with its mahogany bar, original pressed-tin ceiling, and walls adorned with black-and-white photos of Port Chester and Rye circa 1900.
Bonus: The Willett House is open seven days a week and caters all occasions. It also is adjacent to a parking lot that is free for up to four hours. Come December, festive holiday decorations adorn each room.
