This Jaw-Dropping Visual Experience is LED-ing the Way in Advertising

Walking through Moynihan Train Hall, the new extension of Penn Station, commuters can look up and see not only what time their trains will be arriving but also wander through Coney Island, Chinatown, and Niagara Falls — virtually, of course.
It’s a new kind of transit experience, and you might say that ANC in Purchase is, well, LED-ing the way. Known for providing signage, design, and marketing solutions in sports venues, the company gives clients a platform to display larger-than-life advertising and marketing on everything from billboards to jumbotrons to visual displays with Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting. ANC has more than 200 employees around the country, servicing local clients, like Iona Prep and Westchester Community College, in addition to big-name clients, like the LA Dodgers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Most recently, ANC has been providing bright lights to the big city, partnering with some of NYC’s biggest transportation centers, including Fulton Center, Westfield World Trade Center, and the new Moynihan Train Hall. The company has incorporated 12 new LED displays (totaling 1,700 sq ft of LED lighting) throughout Moynihan Train Hall, displaying train times, track numbers, and colorful videos of poignant city-centric locations, including Coney Island and Midtown Manhattan.
“Our unique technology-service solution provides commuters traveling through Moynihan Train Hall an immersive digital experience,” says Jerry Cifarelli, founder/president/CEO of ANC. “The new displays will provide commuters with information and a visual experience they’ve never seen before, offering train information, alerts, and refreshing content that will help ease the stresses of one’s daily commute.”
Formerly sports-focused, ANC recognized that transportation, commercial, and retail venues are exploring how to transform their spaces through technology. Cifarelli credits the company’s expansion into the New York-transit sector to their unique technology service, saying that ANC has created “some of the most notable immersive experiences in new non-sports venues throughout the New York Metro area,” adding that he looks forward to growing ANC’s footprint in the region.
